About Us

 We’ve all had many pets over the years, and just like I do, we all think we have the best dog, so naturally we want to provide the best.  With my most recent addition, Annie, who came to me at age 4, and now 7, arrived with a few surprises.  Like most Labrador Retrievers, they can have a variety of orthopedic challenges.  Annie was no exception.  

 One day, she woke up limp near her back leg. X-rays and ultrasounds were performed only to discover that her ailments included hip dysplasia and a torn ACL, but what everyone found most alarming was she only had one  kidney!   Surgery has not been a current option, due to her kidney not functioning at optimal levels.  Hence, other routes needed to be considered. 

A variety of solutions with the veterinarians, including physical therapy and acupuncture, are still in the works.  But it also was significant to adjust her diet to be more restrictive.  Limited clean proteins and veggies helps her get the nutrients she needs.  Annie is a very happy Lab, as most are.  But what about her treats?  Thus, Woof Wafers was developed.
